HTNYS Trustee Award

Leadership & Advocacy

Healthcare Trustees of New York State (HTNYS) issues a call for nominations for its annual Trustee Leadership and Advocacy Award in the spring of each year.  The award recognizes trustees who demonstrate a profound impact in the boardroom in terms of trustee skills, time commitment, and knowledge required for effective decision making.  HTNYS is especially interested in nominations on behalf of trustees who are taking a lead role in positioning the organization to meet the challenges of the current healthcare environment.  The nominee should also demonstrate outstanding contributions in grassroots advocacy initiatives on behalf of a hospital or health system.  The award is presented each year at  HTNYS’ Annual Conference in the fall.

Who Qualifies

All HTNYS members are eligible to be nominated except for trustees who currently serve on the HTNYS Board of Governors. HTNYS members are any individuals currently serving on the board of a Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) member facility.

Nominees should be models in the boardroom in terms of trustee skills, time commitment, and knowledge required for effective decision making. It is desirable for nominees to be leaders in positioning their organizations to meet challenges as the healthcare environment changes and to contribute to grassroots advocacy initiatives on behalf of a hospital or health system.

HTNYS is no longer taking nominations for 2017. Please check back in the spring of 2018 for information on how to submit a nomination.
