Advocacy

Trustees know their hospitals, health systems, and their communities. HTNYS educates, guides, and empowers trustees to channel that knowledge into advocacy to educate on healthcare policy and positively impact the people they serve.

HTNYS makes sure trustees better understand public policy and the forces shaping healthcare reform to become more effective advocates for their organizations— whether educating community members or editorial boards about their hospital’s economic impact, participating in HTNYS’ visits to legislators to represent their community’s best interests, or taking a stand on impactful legislation.
